FAQ Who are you, and what are you about?
Red Letter is a small professional theater company based in Minneapolis, MN, dedicated to developing productions of re-visioned classics and experimental new works with an emphasis on images and language.

We are also committed to providing emerging artists with the opportunity to work side by side with area professionals to further their artistic growth. Red Letter upholds an encouraging, process-based working environment in which the creative process and end product are equally valued.

What does the name mean?
The term Red Letter is derived from a phrase that sprang up from around the 1400s, when it was used to describe festival days in the church calendar that were marked by red letters. Today, it describes events that are simply memorable. We chose the name because we believe that it reflects our objective in re-interpreting age-old, elemental stories in provocative and innovative ways.

Where do you perform?
Like many small theater companies in the Twin Cities, Red Letter is nomadic. We do not own our own space, but rather rent our venue from other companies and performance spaces. For our first production, we will be performing at the Bryant-Lake Bowl Theater, 810 West Lake Street, Minneapolis, MN. For a map and directions, click here.

How may I buy tickets?
Tickets for our first production may be purchased through the box office at the Bryant-Lake Bowl Theater. Tickets will go on sale for this production in August 2009. Check back soon for more information!
